Lenny Peters Cup

In April 2025, eight Olympic medal-winning rowers from across the globe formed the World Dream Team and went head-to-head in match play competition against Team USA. Drama, tension, incredible rowing, camaraderie and sportsmanship were served in equal measure, captivating an audience around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Dr. Lenny Peters.

This Autumn, the Lenny Peters Cup saw a new international challenge on American waters in High Point, North Carolina. The United Kingdom sent its finest in the University of Oxford and the University of Edinburgh to race Duke University and local favorite High Point University on October 5, 2025 on Oak Hollow Lake.  Adding to the excitement, America's Champion Lauren O'Connor won the Lenny Peters Cup International Women's Race against Germany's Olympic medalist Tabea Schendekehl and Ukraine's Kateryna Maistrenko. Held in conjunction with the High Point Autumn Rowing Festival, this event drew over a thousand rowers from across the world and many more spectators to Festival Park to watch the boat racing.
