Lenny Peters Cup partners with RP3 for Race Venue Warm Up Area

The Race Committee for the Lenny Peters Cup is pleased to announce it will partner with rowing machine manufacturer RP3 of the Netherlands to provide a land warm up area for athletes on race day.
Race Director Gene Kininmonth says he is pleased to forge this new partnership with RP3. "Our primary focus in hosting the Lenny Peters Cup and Bethany Medical North Carolina Rowing Championships is to promote a healthy lifestyle through rowing. The RP3 is a perfect compliment to this goal. Not only is it a safer 'erg' than the static machines most rowers train on, it is far more similar to the feel of rowing a boat."
RP3 is seen around the world as the premier land training tool for rowing. In the video above Paris Olympic singles champion Karolien Florijn is seen to transition her rowing stroke seamlessly between the shell and an RP3.

The RP3 is also endorsed by 2024 Paris Olympic men's singles champion Ollie Zeidler of Germany.
In the Netherlands, the Dutch national team does all tests on RP3 and requires Dutch club rowers that want to be part of the selection to use the RP3 as well. The results at the 2024 Paris Olympics for the Netherlands were staggering.

However, many rowers stress the RP3 is not just for Olympic champions. Top collegiate rowing programs across the world such as Stanford University and Cambridge University in England have adopted the RP3 with great success.

USA Masters national champion Allison Hunt recommends the RP3 for older adults too. "The RP3 puts considerably less stress on my knees, back and body compared to the stationary machine. Because my body has less stress I can train harder and recover better. The RP3 has increased my strength and overall fitness since I began using it to where I have gotten personal records on my 1,2 and 5km tests," she says.
